Morgan's Fist Pump'n Jerseytastic Birthday

Last year for Morgan's Birthday we decided it would be fun to have a Jersey Shore themed party.

It was one of the most fun nights ever! I'm not sure if it was the hair gell or the muscle tees but our guidos fist pumped the night away.

This is the one and only time I resisted bullying someone for wearing an Ed Hardy shirt and gunglasses at night.

I'll include a picture of Sam and I on a normal day and then our Jersey Look. I did not have a Bumpit but worked some magic with an army of bobbypins.

I would recomment Rare Martini to anyone that is trying to get a big group to go out dancing. We LOVED it.

Whoville

And the Grinch, with his Grinch-feet ice cold in the snow,
stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so? It came without ribbons.
It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes or bags.

To ring in the holidays, we put a spin on Tacky Sweater and threw a Whoville Party. Alex and Amy were the best dressed Whos. They are pictured at the top.

GRINCH GAME:
Each guest wrote their who name ( Ex: Abby Who, Ali Who) on a sticky gift tag and placed in on their back. They wrote their who name on a second piece of paper that was put in a gift box. When everyone arrived, each guest drew a name from the box. This was their target. The goal is to take the sticker tag off your targeted who's back. If you succeed you take the name of their target. The game continues until one person has collected all of the stickers and is named the GRINCH.

This is very much like the game Assassin. Here's a link to the e-how description.

Pirate Pool Party

Two summers ago Ryan and I co-planned a Pirate Pool Party.
We got the idea from watching coverage of the Somali pirates on the news.

We asked guests to wear pirate accessories and a swimsuit. We picked one guest to hold captive in a blow-up raft in the middle of the pool. We gave everyone water guns and balloons and behaved liked five year olds all afternoon.

What I love about planning this with Ryan is that we both get really into the details. We made a pirate playlist on itunes, bought decorations, and even got tempoary tatoos for everyone.

Stand up me hardys, YO HO!
